About us
Ink Keeper
is a Western Australian owned and operated business supplying all natural and
vegan after care tattoo balm and tattooing butter. Our butter is being used by tattoo artists as
a replacement to chemical, paraben and petroleum based products.
Our old
version of Ink Keeper was great for stopping itching associated with the
healing process and keeping your skin moisturised but this new tattoo balm has
been completely reformulated into a creamy blend and includes butters and oils known for their
healing, antibacterial and antiseptic properties. The feedback on this new
product from clients of tattoo artists selling our after care has been
amazing!!!
We pride
ourselves on the fact we support local, ethical and long standing businesses in
Perth by sourcing all our ingredients locally. We are a husband and wife (Budge
& Netty) team residing in the Perth Hills and very passionate about our own
body art.
Why the all natural approach?
A few years
ago Netty was diagnosed with Stage 3C Ovarian Cancer. After undergoing
surgeries, chemo and radiation she could not find an all natural product to
heal her burns, scars and dry skin associated with all these gruelling
procedures. This led her to formulating her own products. She started studying to become a Qualified
Aromatherapist with certificates in Anatomy and Physiology and starting her own
business called Libellula Naturals. Getting tattoo’s (when given the ok to do
so by her oncologists) played a big part in her recovery, she has them mostly
as a body journal of holidays, people and places that have the most meaning to
her..(mostly animals to be honest J) Ink Keeper was a product that ended up
becoming so popular with awesome feedback that it needed its own company name
and identity.
What do we do for fun?
(Apart from collecting tattoo’s) We are heavily involved in the Drag Racing
scene with Budge racing in Modified Bike and Netty working at the local track
on race days and Secretary to The Western Australian Drag Racing Club. Budge
also volunteers his time attending many meetings during the year at “Variety,
The Childrens Charity” and works on the mobile
workshop crew for the Variety Bash each year.
We hope you
enjoy our product as much as everyone else J
